vwdeviant 0 Posted December 20, 2009 Define: "Reversable Mods" ... Everything's "reversable" given time effort and expense... Non-stock paint gets my goat... but I can't paint... and why delete the active soiler? However I do feel that things like Orange rear indicators/side repeaters should have been something covered by Hella (A-la Mk2/3/4). Personally Dark cars with smoked sides, light cars with "Crystal" sides (with Silver topped bulbs PLEASE, no fried egg look) and either Red/tinted rears. Gareth/Pat/Tom, I know what you mean about spending on the "wrong" area... as an example take a look back at any pics from the early/mid 90's Aircooled scene and see just how many of these show cars are still with us (a good friend organises "Back to 89" and tries to locate old show cars... it's depressing the number of "Milestone" cars that were just filler). Unfortunately looking around the shows these days I see the same with the Mk1/2/3 crowd.. and it's shocking to see how some Modded mk4's have not "aged" well... A good solid mechanically sound Ratter over a kippered show princess...everytime...
Supercharged 2 Posted December 20, 2009 At the end of the day it's nearly 15 years since they stopped making them and they still look the absolute nuts 8)

vwdeviant 0 Posted December 20, 2009 Oh Yeah I'd just like to add the much Maligned 2.0 16v deserves saving too, NOT just VRs&G60s...
Abdul 0 Posted December 21, 2009 Each to their own is the way i look at it really, the more that get broken the rarer they are so that doesn't bother me at all! Things i can't stand seeing are; "Pulled" wheel arches, where the flat part of it has dissappeared. Those hideous crystal M3 look rear lights, they don't even line up. All after marketf ront lights look wrong imo. I don't see the point in different wing mirrors. I absolutely hate Lambo style doors (on any car that didn't come standard with them) Side skirts, RS4 style bumpers. Single wipers I agree with this but im not going to lie i love single wipers lol. Abit of smoothage as far as the swage lines on the bumpers, roof aerial, wing indicators etc is all good imo but they dont take much away from the cars original appearance, just help tidy it up a bit but thats just my opinion!! StormchargedVr said it best tbh, each to their own! J, my valvers not going to be a valver for much longer... :D
