Recommended Posts

How on earth can you remove the parcel shelf straps from the shelf?

I thought they may just pull through, but no, is it possible to remove them without breaing them?

They do just pull out but with lots of swearing and praying they dont snap.

I would make sure they are nice and warm and use some lubricant!!!

oh yeah, and try getting then out from the other end i.e. pull through till the 'eye' end is the one to feed out and not the fat blob end!

Sounds right to me.

Unless someone tells me I did it wrong when I last tried it :norty:

Oh and don't forget the heat. It's all going to go horribly wrong if you try too hard in this cold without warming them up nicely first.

i used 2 pairs of hands some lube :norty: and a small screwdriver. found it hard to get started. if the shelf in its flat position they pull through down. get a pair of pliers to squeeze the eyelet if its a bugger

Drop eyelet in very hot water for 30 seconds and then pull through. easy peasy japaneasy :)

That sounds as if you have done it many more times than me :)

As already said, from the top down. I use a thin flat bladed screwdriver to push the top of the blob through the hole in the parcel shelf, starting at the edge of the blob and working around. The end with the eyelet in will pull through easy when soft.
