Sill repair

Hi, Im looking at a car with some rust on the lower sill, its on the join below the door under the car, is this an easy repair (small bit of welding?? or a major job?

Pics would be better but its sounds like a cut out and repair job. Depends how close it is to the seatbelt anchor point as well.

Better to get it done properly than have to do it again in a year or so.

Thanks, it's about halfway along the with of the door, going forward the the wing
