ANNOYING BRAKE SQUEAK !!

Recommended Posts

HI ALL,

i have just noticed after the last couple of days, a very annoying squeak coming from the brakes when reversing. This is without touching the brake pedal, when slowing down or braking in normal driving conditions, there is also a very slight squeak, but not as loud as in reverse :confused4:

any ideas?

lots of people seem to find this, but seemeingly no real problem/solution has been found.

good clean down and grease to start with see if it helps at all.

Not massivly common but has come up a few times.

Play in bearings. Warped discs. Buckled wheel. Cv joints etc

Maybe try regriding a chamfer on the leading and trailing edges of the pad - helps with lots of seeming incurable brake squeaks

PLEASE stop starting threads in General. Just about every thread you've created has had to be moved from General into the correct forums.
