Multicar Classic policies

Anyone know an insurance company that does good deals on classic multi car policies.

I'm currently running a

1995 Corrado VR6 Storm

1989 Alpina C2-2.5

plus a couple of normal motors and I'm thinking of adding a Golf mk 1 Clipper to the collection

At the moment, they're all insured separately, but it would make sense to get them on one policy, as I can't drive them all at once :D

When I tried to do this a few months ago, it made more sense to get them on separate policies because each policy would accrue its own no claims bonus, which combined with a very limited mileage policy meant that the overall cost would be lower after a year or two, but maybe you will have better results.

 

The cheapest multicar I found was admiral, but Direct Line won in the end.

 

The other option is temporary insurance cover when you want to drive the other car (depends how often you do this?). I had a car (E30 Beemer) that I only drove very occasionally and Direct Line would insure it over the phone for around £10 a weekend.

I made a saving of approx £300 with a multicar policy from Admiral covering four cars so it is worth a look. The NCB is allocatable per person/vehicle so isn't just accrued by the policy holder.

Admiral does normal multicar policies, Im aftre a classic scheme which I dont think they do, unless Ive got it wrong??

Thanks for reminding me Steve but just consider this: If you're half as old as me now in another 10 years you'll have closed that gap and I'll be less than twice as old as you :lol:

it's quite good being old actually, some of the young lads i know with Golf GTi's, VR's Ibiza Cupra's etc pay well over a grand for insurance, one lad is paying £2500 for his 1.8T converted Polo :cuckoo:
