Sunroof wont open

Hi, the sunroof on my G60 wont open, its stuck closed, iv checked the fuse and its fine, reading the site it doesn't seam like the normal cable faults, it doesnt even try to move (no noise) is it likely to be the motor or switch?

you can remove the motor from the frame without too much difficulty. remove cover and 3 screws ( from memory ) that hold the motor to the frame. with the wires still connected you can test the motor to confirm this is not the issue. make sure it 'parks' back into the correct position before refitting ( i just use the tilt to test then you know it has returned to the correct position )

 

if its shot then you need to replace it. (i have one for sale if you need it) or you need to service the wires etc.

The switch was unplugged, iv put it back in and the motor turns but it seams like the roof is jammed
