delfinis38 1 Posted February 5, 2010 where's the switch to turn the boot light off.... is it the plunger on the tailgate on the left hand side of the lock ?? because when i press it in expecting the light to go out it stays on. however when i shut the tailgate the light goes out. wanted to leave the tailgate open today to get some air in the car but had to remove the bulb so the light stayed off. not that there would be much battery drain

rob1234 0 Posted February 5, 2010 The switch is part of the boot latch mechanism.
davidwort 0 Posted February 5, 2010 you can get a VW switch (passat maybe?) that has a rocker switch built in, but is otherwise the same as the Corrado boot one and plugs straight in, handy if you leave the hatch open for a long time.
delfinis38 1 Posted February 5, 2010 I guess you mean the one like in the glovebox on a rado.

colinstubbs 0 Posted February 5, 2010 Check your light fitting, my 1990 original had a switch built in, now got an led strip on the right because of the sub box on the left - sorted 8)
