eugopnosaj 0 Posted March 9, 2010 OK so I had to replace one of my panels and it didn't have the bump strip on it so I though I'd use this opportunity to take the strip from the one I was replacing and paint it the same colour as my car. I will need to put it back on as the previous owner of the panel removed the strips and unfortunately at the same time it pulled some of the lacquer off, I'd either cover this with the strip or need to paint the panel again. So has anyone done this before? if so pics would be nice. I will be keeping the strips on the car regardless because I think they serve a good purpose, especially with the amount of cars already on my driveway... What do other people think? The strips are weathered due to 18 years of the British weather and general wear and tear and could do with tidying up, i do realise however that being 'bump' strips they are liable to get scratched/dented/damaged and the paint possibly pulled off but its better than a dent in the car....
