bonnet/slam panel

can someone tell me whats wrong here

 

i cant let my bonnet drop shut it just hits the slam panel

here is a picture of the bonnet hook and a picture of where it hits on the slam panel

 

is the hook on backwards?

Hook isn't backwards no, it just looks bent to me, [strike:tuq1gwvs]it should be straighter, it should probably be perpendicular to the actual bonnet[/strike:tuq1gwvs], will get a photo of mine for you to see

 

Edit: ok so it doesnt need to be perpendicular but yours is probably still bent slightly, mine is at a similar angle to yours but closes properly, ive also taken a photo of where it should touch the slam panel before it closes, hope it helps!
