Timo. 0 Posted January 28, 2004 Just wondering how much you can push the engine around in your engine bay. A bit of a random question I know but last night whilst checking my oil I thought, hey I wonder how much it moves around. So I tried pushing it left and right and back and forwards. I tried this because when I was having a look at my oil cooler from above to check there was no leaks I noticed the front engine mount rubber has sort of cleaned a few mm around the itself. Only left and right side of it. (Hope you understand what I mean) Does any of you guys have a we clean bit either side of the absorber. Just hoping it not too slack or something. Perhaps the absorbers had it?! Dont fancy replacing that bad boy. cheers timo

Supercharged 2 Posted January 28, 2004 Get someone else to rev the engine and have a look at the upward movement, obviuosly there is some but there should not be much as there is not a huge amount of clearence between engine and bonnet risking damaging the MAF etc
