Donjon 0 Posted April 11, 2010 (edited) I have just put a deposit down on a classic green storm! It needs a few bits doing to it cosmeticaly but nothing serious and everything works after 140,000 miles! It has also had alot of money spent on it recently at tsr perfomance the vw specialist. I cant wait to get it back home and start giving it some tlc! Anyway here are some pics Edited April 16, 2011 by Donjon
Portent 0 Posted April 11, 2010 Nice. Glad it went to a good home. I looked at that one a while ago and nearly bought it. But the big history gap and issue around the v5 put me off. The car itself seemed very nice though and the interior was in great condition.
dragon green 5 Posted April 11, 2010 Looks sweeet , What have you had done at TSR ?
Donjon 0 Posted April 11, 2010 It had alot of stuff wishbones, bushes, mounts, suspension etc. And it sounds ok and pulled more than well enough so the history gap didnt bother me that much. And i take it by v5 issue you mean that it is owned by his mums friend, then yeah that was a bit weird but i figured he was doing him a favor by selling it as he knows his corrados! Portent 0 Posted April 11, 2010 PM'd you about the V5. Probably all fine but wanted to make sure the info I was told tally's with the info you were told. If it does then great. very nice car :)
Bullfinch 0 Posted April 11, 2010 Hope all goes well with your purchase. I test drove this car about one year ago when it was for sale at TCS. It needed lots doing then but I think the guy who did buy it then spent loads at TSR to get many of the items fixed. Welcome to Corrado ownership and good to see another Classic Green Storm on the forum  .
harryc 0 Posted April 11, 2010 I viewed this but ended up buying his other mint black vr he had for sale which i fell in love with! I know its had a new radiator as i asked him to swap the old leaky one before i viewed it. Interiors in great condition.

greasegriff 0 Posted April 16, 2010 Oh and does anybody know any decent insurance companys as i am only 20! Good luck! Category 17 I think for a Storm! Still worth every penny of the £1500 it'll cost you!
Donjon 0 Posted April 16, 2010 Group 18 for a storm, and i agree its better than spending 14k on a fiesta zetec s as many people my age seem to be doing now!
greasegriff 0 Posted April 16, 2010 Definately! You have made a wise choice! Enjoy standing out from the crowd, you can't put a price on that.
Portent 0 Posted April 16, 2010 Oh and does anybody know any decent insurance companys as i am only 20! I assume you got some quotes before buying the car?
Donjon 0 Posted April 17, 2010 Yeah i got some quotes and i have bugeted for it. But i was just wondering who was getting good quotes on a vr at my age!
Portent 0 Posted April 17, 2010 Yeah i got some quotes and i have bugeted for it. But i was just wondering who was getting good quotes on a vr at my age! I got some decent quotes from HIS which advertise here. I think the key is to look around for specialist insurers who will put it on a limited mileage or classic policy. Are you picking the car up today or tomorrow? If you're passing Esher then pop in :D I've put my car purchase on hold for a bit but seeing this one again may persuade me! Portent 0 Posted April 17, 2010 I will be at all the shows this year though so you can see it at them! I meant it's a bugger having a new car sitting in your drive/garage for a couple of months and not being able to drive it :)
Donjon 0 Posted April 17, 2010 Its a double edged sword really on one hand i have that time to sort anything that needs doing, but on the other i dont get to drive my rado!
Donjon 0 Posted April 24, 2010 Just got it back home! Pics to come tomorrow!
Donjon 0 Posted April 25, 2010 A few new pics below. I brought the car home yesterday on the back of a car trailer. Shes not mint but shes mine! Incidentley if anyone is interested the trailer hire only cost £60 for the whole weekend, i think that it is a bit of a bargain really the staff where freindly and helpfull too. The name of the hire company is FS trailers in huntingdon, highly recomended! There are also a few pics of my bro's scirocco project at the bottom as well.
