Took me a while to get the number plate but get it now :). I hope you got a good deal on the old one from a Porsche owner (911 speed).

Lovely car :)

I prefer to stick my plates on-- been doing it for years. it looks neater and harder to steel too.

nice reg - could i ask how much it set you back? I'm looking for something similar, with 'soft' letters like O, S, E,C etc, but dont know how to search for this on the reg websites

Looks great mate. Those 301's must've cost a pretty penny to say the least lol.

Those wheels are 8) ... the whole car is looking great man

When I was deciding what wheels to buy for my car I took into consideration the time spent cleaning them... that's why I didn't go for the 301's :)

Gotta say when I first saw those wheels I preferred the originals. But they are growing on me a lot and I think I prefer them now. Lovely car.

I hope you have some winter wheels though :)

Got 7 bbs solitudes sat in the shed awaiting powder coating, plan is to run them over winter and the rs`s in the summer months..

The centres of the rs`s are powder coated a bright oem silver and so hard wearing and easier to clean...i do spend more time cleaning than i do driving sometimes... 8) put it this way the car stays outside 24-7 and gets cleaned/waxed and detailed everytime its used..

The tax is out at the end of september so the plan is to remove the front end and top part of the engine and start to replace/refurb fans/manifold/pipework brackets ect.. also paint the front bumper and wing mirrors... then put it back on the road start of jan on the solitudes and run them till the weather picks up..

Going to upgrade the brakes as well, 288`s on front and mk4 calipers on rear.

Cheers for the comments.. :salute:

Regarding brakes, 288's are an awesome upgrade. I have 280mm's on my 2.0 16v and 288mm's on my VR6 and the difference is night and day - going back to the 280's almost scary in comparison! Well worth doing :)

I'm seriously debating sticking a set of full on winter tyres on a spare set of 15's to run on the car from October through till March/April. I had a few hairy moments during the worst of the snow this year and would be crushed if I fell off the road and damaged the VR. At least putting decent winter tyres on would mean I had a much better chance of being able to get around without incident!
