1977amm 0 Posted May 13, 2010 Please see photo below. Can someone help me please? I'd like to know.. 1) what does this bit do? It's maybe not clear in the photo, but it's at the top left of the engine (as you stand facing the front of the car) 2) is it supposed to be as it is? (ie no longer attached) - I assume not 3) if it's not right what problems it might cause 4) how do I sort it and will any replacement parts be required? Ebay items 002.jpg[/attachment:2y13turm] All advice very gratefully received! Thanks.

1977amm 0 Posted May 13, 2010 Thanks for that. Now that I know what it is, I can search the forum. Assuming I get the Ford part, is it easy for me to replace? I'm mechanically inept. Also, will this have been having a detrimental effect on emissions? My car was going to fail its MOT on emissions, but didn't complete the test (alternator belt snapped). Is this likely to solve the probelm? Thanks
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted May 13, 2010 possibly as it can allow vacum to be drawn past there instead of crankcase pressure, its very easy to fit, just a few clips and its done! :D
Critical_Mass 10 Posted May 13, 2010 Mine like many others has never had the valve, just a pipe going to the intake pipe. Oil does go back into the throttle body with no detrimental affect.
beastie4126 0 Posted May 13, 2010 If you want one from Ford I believe this is the part number F7364573 N/STK 002881/VALVE A mine cost abot £25 or so.
poll250 0 Posted May 16, 2010 What's the best way to block this off? I'm sure I've read that you should disconnect the PCV when using a charger.
