rear window sprayer jet

Recommended Posts

Hasn't been working for a while, motor works and whines a little, took the inside of the tailgate off today and detached the piece of hose, that pushes out water under quite a decent pressure, got a bike pump and tried to force whatever is blocking the washer through, but the air just whistled through, then got only bubbles coming through after that.

The pump is evidently fine, then blockage seems to be in the part that goes through the motor.

Have cleaned the nozzle out with a pin.

Any suggestions other than attaching an air line to it??

Not going to remove and replace with a grommet under any circs.

My mk3 VR6 has the exact same problem, changed the pump as I thought it might not have been getting enough pressure but it still doesn't come out of the nozzle!

I think there's a mechanical blockage, and gonna get it all off and have a play next week

Will let you know the outcome.

Mine has this issue, looking throught the service history it was brought up in '98 on my car... as far as I know it was never fixed!
