Urget help pls, question about front bumper removal

Can anyone tell me if the 4 17mm bolts holding the bumper on are the ones which seem to go through rubber engine mounts pls?

I'm tryin 2 change my vr6 radiator & can't get the damn bumper off cause I don't know if the engine will move if I undo said bolts :(

Yes mate the 4x17mm bolts hold the bumper on, just dont undo the smaller bolt inbetween them or your engine will fall out as this is the bolt that holds the front crossmember on that your front engine mount is bolted to :lol:

there are also 5 bolts that run along the splitter that will need to be removed

As above but the key thing is that the engine must be supported as those M10 bolts can snap without the other 4 in place!

another question tho as struggling big time

there is a bracket which gies thru the slam panel & onto the top of the left side of the rad, as u look at it, how does this come off cause I can't free the rad from the slam panel? :(

The one with the rubber mount & 10mm bolt through it?

 

If yes then take the bolt right out & lever or pull upwards the round part up & away from the slam panel, its just a right angled mount that slips into the plastic bit of the rad.
