Anyone know any tec guys in VW U.K? (importer)

I'm in a bit of trouble getting my Corrado registered here in Norway - as the Norwegian importer don't seem willing to help me document weights etc for the goverment type of institution that does the registration here.

 

I'v gotten an ECE document from them earlier but that doesn't state things like weights, number of passangers etc, and I need this to come from Volkswagen - as thos gov goones will not accept a statement/certificate from TÜV :(

 

Anyone know anyone in Volkswagen U.K (main importer) which might be able to make a written statement confirming the weights and other technical info's about *my* Corrado (based on the VIN).

 

 

This trouble came about when I noticed the Swedish docs (where it's imported from - but originally a German car) have wrong data when it comes to weights, it also have been registered for only 2 persons (1 driver + 1 passanger).

 

As it stands now they only want to register it with the WRONG data - causing it to be a 2 seater and also because of wrong weight possible more taxes on the car :)

 

 

Hopefully won't end up braking it! (doubt I will - but damn one get frustrated with sh*** like this)....

Er, can you not go to a VW dealer in Norway and get it? If a UK dealer has it then surely a local one to you will too.

 

Also would you have problems with it being an English text document?

Na english document would probably be OK.

 

I can't get it from the dealers - as they can't write such docs - it's only the guys that have to do with technical data when importing the cars that can do it - sadly here in Norway this is only done by 1! - ONE person, and he doesn't seem willing to help me out getting this document - not sure how it works in the UK but here there is a main Importer - and the dealers get the cars thru them, and it's only those that can give out those statements :(

 

If the dealers in U.K does the importing themselves I presume they might have access to retrieve the tec data of my car as well.

hehe - true - most likely won't brake it though but sometime one think it might be the right thing to do when one come up against the gov and other type of beaurocracy ;)
