VR6 thermostatic oil sandwich plate help

Does anyone know where I can get a VR6 thermostatic oil sandwich plate on a Saturday in the Essex/Hertfordshire/Suffolk area?

Is there anything specific about the VR6 sandwich plate, or are they the same others e.g. Ford

Have you tried VAG for a quote?

 

2nd hand is obviously a possibility but most people don't tend to break engines to that degree.
