many years ago, maybe in 1999-2000 there was a shortened and roof chopped mk2 golf in the uk.

 

it was originally a 3 door, but was shortened to fit 5 door front doors. the roof was also chopped and lowered. I seem to remember it having a pretty hidious paint job, but could have looked brilliant.

 

There must be pics still floating around somewhere.. Im sure a thread on E38 would come up with something..
