what tape to use to protect bonnet advice please

i have a gimpmask for the c ,trouble is every time i use it ,it marks the bonnet i dont mind the marks you can get out ,but i do have a nasty scratch caused by it when you have to stretch it over .someone said tape the bonnet first , anyone else done this ? what did you use ? thanks ,rob .

Might be good to put a pic up of which mask it is mate, not everyone will understand your funny name for it!

i am ! whats wrong with s'n' m i love rubber me :lol: dont have a pic ,its like a bonnet bra but it covers the whole front end of the car inc the wings hope this helps .

3 m tape rob or 3" wide black insulation tape.....
