Looks nice! I'm not really a fan of the rear lights, but its a great colour.

Hi there, hadnt thought about lights yet but see wot you mean looking at others.First job is to drop the height of coilovers as its ridiculously high. possibly wheels next as not sure on 17", want to get good look but best handling . The main job want to do is get paintwork right, usual front end stuff but main prob passenger door is damaged with what looks like super glue spill.

Hi simon ,yea i like the colour it really comes out when clean n polished when the sun does shine it brings out the nice pearl finish. have got it dropped now so will get more pics up. The polo is my mates G40 in very rare Windsor blue, its what got me to buy a G60

cool bet it looks loads better now. thats why i got a G60. i had a similar colour 16v rado and tbh never seen another quite like, will find a pic. sold that to get a G40 and frikin loved it. but my girlfriend started to learn to drive and i couldnt get her insured on it so unfortunalty it had to go! :( few years later!! getting fed up with the saxo (bought it cheap and it was cheap insurance) and bought myself a G60 hoping it would be like the G40.... and its not!

imo two totaly different cars. like the G60 cause its more refined, smoother and a bit more grown up. the G40 was violent, handling wasnt up to much and it made me feel a bit young drving as it came across as a K-reg polo BUT was bags and bags of fun and still want another at some point.

this is my old 16v, it looked kinda black but was a dark metalic purple, really nice colour. keep thinkin bout get my resprayed in the same colour.

hey simon,no probs with the hijack nice to see your pics,the valver looks similar to mine which is paint code LC3U i believe. Sounds similar story with my mates G40 except he cant afford now redundant, for him to insure is 155 quid a month!!! got a quote for me and was£180 a year fully comp :grin:

been meaning to update and forgot bout my gallery thread. Took to my pals work to use their ramp/lift ,removed rear wheels then one side each began to work on trying to lower,lots of huffing n puffing inc quite abit of :bad-words: !!!! and cleaning crap off threads to get the coil spanners turning bit by bit, Few bleeding knuckles between us and a while later got things moving bit easier. After taken wheels off then on again a few times before settling on a ride height(pretty low), finally went to back car off ramps only to discover the reason former owner had such a high ride. The (wagon) wheels with 215/40/17 rubbed on the springs and locking rings, so started to raise the height back up bit by bit until cleared any fouling!! Unfortunately back up to where started, so gutted. Defoe need new rims now. Anyhow got sum 5mm spacers for the rears and started again this time on the drive with a trolley jack.With the advantage of already cleaning and dropping/lifting before, took half hour to do both rears :D got onto the fronts to find really crapped up and were a pig to do, 2 1/2 hrs for these. But now car looks sensible at least, and the handling dramatically better.

Thanks mate, tbh have been doing little bits over the last couple of months and totally forgot to update as went along even tho on here so much. had a good look through some threads inc yours as you seem to be the nearest location and trying to get in the flow now. Like what you did with your FMIC and hope to go for something similar in the future, btw your car looks great, love the colour and mods so far in and out.

Hey Slim, just put myself on the locator after seeing yours, there were three at our little local show n shine last year, so they are out here and one in our town so gotta recruit. Was looking at your landrover one not got as far as your current. (time disappears on here!!) :scratch:

I saw their post on here but like you I'm a non-facebooker.

No chance of me going to players, the missus is due to drop in 2 weeks and I think bouncing her down there in the Rado would set her off!

climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf319.JPG[/attachment:10b92hp6]Finally got round to sorting my camera after E38, which is where i picked up some new rims last minute before leaving sunday teatime, quick pitstop on the grass to check them out and couldnt not replace imo,would be :cuckoo: not to. Plus ma pals would blackball me if i didnt !!!
