How do you get the air con to work?

Hi guys and girls

 

how do you get the air con to work as jut pressing the air con buttons clearly doesn't work??

 

Do you have to set the heater controls to a certain setting or something?

not meaning to sound cheeky but is the fan switched on? If you press the buttons without, nothing happens.

Yea just set heater to cold and turn on to then press the ac button you should be able to easily tell if that's worked as the revs jump a few hundred and the petrol level starts to decrease rapidly! Oh yea and some cold air starts to come out. I had a loose relay on mine where there was a dodgy connection under bonnet may be worth checking those if it's not coming on as contacts may be corroded etc

As already said, fan must be on fan speed one or higher, normal button is a/c on, max button is the recirc button, if its not kicking in then suspect no pressure in system...
