VR6 Lee 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Hopefully get some good news
VR6 Lee 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Update Bad news!!! Just spoke to Graham at DG autotech and a full engine rebuild is required on my corrado vr6 due to the low pressure on number 4. As most of the engine has to come apart it makes sense to do it instead of re-visiting the engine in a few thousand miles when something else goes wrong with it. Well at least now i will have a rebuilt engine in with the mods i want in it. Questions, Should i get gearbox rebuilt? Engine mounts upgraded to VT's? LSD? Anything else worth doing? Right wheres my cheque book to write a cheque...grrrr!!!

RW1 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Corrado = Moneypit...... lesson numo uno! Clutch, especially if modding the engine power. .

I've seen some clean and paint the block whilst it's apart. Looking at doing mine in the near future and thought it would be good to get some pointers first. All the best with it. VR6 Lee 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Car still at DG Autotech, hopefully have it back by April.. but who knows >New front arches bought.... rust free. > brake Bias bought, mine was missing as you know >New Brake lines(Cheers Volksworld) - I will speak to Graham or Dave to see if they fit ok > New BMC/CDA induction kit bought >Still debating about the 263 cams or 268's >Gonna arrange part respray when I get car back with C5 OEM's garage recommendation in Hyde As you may know I got no history with the car so wrote a nice letter to DVLA and asked them for any info they could give me (cost me £5) got some info back yesterday with all addresses of previous owners and some mot certificates so chuffed with that. Im the cars 7th owner but the car was passed around 3 owners of the same household plus the last owner who i bought it off in Glasgow was a trader but for some reason decided to register the car in his name.(DOH) Thats my update for this month... but still working doing bits to my show mk 4 golf, some pics for you guys, gals
