vw domo 0 Posted October 21, 2010 after weeks of fiddling and searching for a solution iv caved and started a *help* thread Im getting feedback through my sub whenever anything that draws power is used, for instance Il turn the key and you get the feedback from the fuel pump, feedback from the indicators, brakes etc etc. at first i was told it may be a suppressor issue but checked with the car audio specialists and they think its an earth issue which i agree with. so far iv checked all the wiring to the sub which is fine so Im thinking it might be a head unit earth or something? i pulled the fuse box back and and one of the earth wires from the box gives feedback when you wiggle it, had trouble tracing it and the earth from the head unit so i wanted to know where the head unit earth is and what that wire from the fuse box might be? recently changed the aerial as well and had no need for the live feed that ran from my remote cable to the aerial. thanks. That way you can make sure you've a nice clean supply to the head unit. Thats a good idea, be a bit fiddly to splice an earth in though without cutting wires. Abdul 0 Posted October 22, 2010 Right ok, jus for reference, i've got 3 rca's cable run right next to 2 guage and 4 guage power cable and have no problems. I'd say its your earth. Find a better point in the boot, sand it down and secure. If that doesn't work, earth your rca's and if that fails earth your headunit to another point. Rule No 1. is to run your rca's and power lines on opposite sides of the car, do you not get engine noise through your stereo at low volume? Or have you got some bad ass insulated rca's? If all the above fails burn your corrado and buy a new one lol hhhhhhm, simple yet effective ^ lol how do you go about earthing your rca's then? think its probably something to do with the head unit earth but only getting feedback through the sub :shrug: didnt get a chance to look at it today as corrado problems always come in threes......or fours.......or fives :scratch: whatever it is iv got lots to keep me busy. vw domo 0 Posted October 25, 2010 it was the head unit earth in the end, it was earthed through the fuse box so i "cut and paste" it to the earthing point just up from the fuse box. there was a few other earths spliced into it aswell.
