A16 RNN 0 Posted October 23, 2010 Basically my car has had a heart transplant by previous owner from a 2ltr 16v to a 1.8 16v... The ol oil pump had three wires goin to it. New one has 2!? Not sure if it's related but oil light and that STUPID bleeping noise is on, on the temp on the gauge it runs at 100-110 ish driving normally... Wondered if anyone can help?? kentyboy 0 Posted October 23, 2010 get yourself an oil pressure gauge fitted and rip the bloody beeper out,had this problem with mine about two years ago...either that or replace the clocks....well not literally ripthe beeper out,remove the rev counter and heat the solder and remove it,or just put a screw driver behind it and carefully prise it out,the oillight will still work, but with an oil pressure gauge you can keep an eye on things.....
