v8rumbler 0 Posted October 30, 2010 Well starting looking at my new VR today and ending up finding a couple of small problems. The airbox ha been drilled (not unusual) but it has also been butchered in one corner to avoid the canister thing in the photo. What is the canister thing ? Could it be air-con related? OSV 0 Posted October 30, 2010 Its the standard carbon canister no need to butcher the airbox to clear that
BILLCOR 1 Posted October 30, 2010 Its the carbon canister, is that the correct airbox though as it shouldn't have been butchered to fit? PAH, to slow

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 30, 2010 Why do people do stupid things like that to a perfectly good airbox?
KIPVW 0 Posted October 30, 2010 Why do people do stupid things like that to a perfectly good airbox?  Tell me bout it, a work colleague has done the same to his B3 passat and it only has the 2.0 8v engine but reckons it sounds awsome and runs better
v8rumbler 0 Posted October 31, 2010 I t really isn't pretty is it? But I wouldn't have thought Chris who I bought her off did it. Probably the previous owner to him. Darren
