C. Will Corrado G60 2 0 Posted November 10, 2010 ... cleaning the car the other day and noticed one of the all red rear tail lights has a frosted appearance to it. Am I right in thinking the lacquer has gone in some way? How can I fix it? Can i just rub it down and re-apply some more lacquer? Don't really want to buy more, but also concerned I won't be able to match them up. Any help would be great.

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 10, 2010 Cloudy laquer usually points to a moisture problem. Either it was sprayed on in a cold / damp environment of the laquer has reacted to something, or doesn't like the cold. You can try a rub down with 1200 grit paper and polish up, but if that doesn't work you'll need to remove the red laquer and redo it unfortunately.
