Andy665 0 Posted November 24, 2010 The Alfa was running a bit off, identified the problem as the MAF and then reeled at the £140+ cost of a genuine Bosch replacement. Bit of digging around and discovered that the sensor is used in the Vectra 1.9 diesel, one Bosch MAF bought for £60, took out the new sensor, put into existing tubing and hey presto one brand new genuine Bosch MAF for less than half the price that I could have paid
Rustynuts 0 Posted November 25, 2010 Alfa's share a lot of parts with GM. What Alfa you got, you can see what I am running in my sig, love it.
KIPVW 0 Posted November 26, 2010 Nice one Andy, wish we could do the same with some corrado bits
Andy665 0 Posted November 26, 2010 Rustynuts - got a GTV V6 so no GM bits - all Italian V6 - would not want an Alfa tweaked V6 - sensor is a standard Bosch sensor shared with a good number of vehicles
Rustynuts 0 Posted November 26, 2010 I never said there bits are made by GM, just shared, like you say bosch produce a lot of stuff for modern management systems. Would love a gtv v6, how does it compare to a vr?
