key doesnt go all the way in door handle

hi everyone i have a slight proble with the corrado, i cant put the key in fully into the drivers door lock, now i have to lock/ unlock the car from the passenger side. i first thought it was frozen but i have heated up the key, sprayed de-icer into it and i have tried wd-40 but still no joy. any ideas what it could be?

When I removed my alarm I had to start using the key, the key wouldn't go in the tailgate at all. After stripping down the barrel I found the tumblers to be very jammed with years of dirt, wd40 wouldn't budge it. A good clean and lube and all was well again.
