Wompa 0 Posted December 11, 2010 Hi, Im thinking of installing two aftermarkets fans so that my VR keeps cool in the hot summers. But my questions, does (for exampel) a Spal fan fit the original VR cowling? Or can I find some universal brackets that may fit? Has anyone done this to their VR, using the original cowling? And what about the electrical.. how do I plug them in? Do I use the original loom from the fan box and just let the system take care of when they kick in etc? Can I then override this and make them allways run with a flick of a switch? Would be great on hard track days :notworthy: Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fla 9 Posted December 11, 2010 yes they do 'fit' in the normal cowling, but they wont be lined up properly with the original fan centres. I've got some pics in my build thread somewhere, using 2x11" spals. Both wires together with spade connections and fitted to speed 1 on the loom from the fan controller. I've also bridged this to speed 2 as a backup in case speed 1 fails. Might disconnect one fan for the winter though Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
