Dazmonkey 0 Posted January 10, 2011 Hi all, My 16v failed it's mot on Friday providing me with a pretty long todo list. About 6 reasons for failing were the electrical faults in the front headlights and indicators. Ie. Both headlights work but o/s all goes out when put on full beam. But in addition, full beam flashed when i indicate right. All n/s works. It's the o/s that the problems are. Mot station says prob bad earth. Can anyone tell me where to find the headlight earth? Anyone had a similar problem? Thanks Darran
Supercharged 2 Posted January 10, 2011 First of all have you got an uprated loom? If so that's most likely to be the issue - maybe dodgy relay...
Oliver2 0 Posted January 10, 2011 I've had exactly the same problem 2 days ago re full-beam, my garage said that it's common for leaks under the windscreen to make there way to the fusebox? He replaced it once and it did the trick but 3 weeks later it broke again. I havn't got an uprated loom either though.......
Dazmonkey 0 Posted January 10, 2011 I don't know if I have an updated loom. I havent uprated it and looking at the (lack of) brightness of the lights I doubt it.
