Looking good,

one question, how does the c/f roof bond into the car ?

You leave part of the forward roof there and and the back of the roof and about 1 inch either side of the drain channels and the cross brace to bond to.

This thread is full of questions about how much a carbon bonnet is and stuff but your posts are tinny!

Give us some detailed history fella! Whats the car been doing? how long you been at this etc

I think he meant how do you physically join the carbon fibre to the steel body? Is it epoxy or something?

I really like the OEM look of the car.

Did the seats come from Porsche GT3?

How much would the car weight once it's finished? 1,000kg possible?

And if you ever come to Brands Hatch, shotgun please.

:-)

The seats are copies of GT3 and they are real carbon i think they way about 6kgs each.

Rough guess would be about 950kgs.

Are you at brands hatch a lot. No worries on the shotgun.

Only done one track day so far; which was at Brands a couple of months ago. Plan to do another two this year, probably Cadwell in June and Snetterton later this year. I plan to visit all of the major UK tracks, 'ring and Spa in the next few years.

I'm based in Brighton so Brands Hatch is fairly close to me. Cheers!

Moved to Brighton about three years ago due to job change. I’m only a newbie with regard to track day. Went to Brands in February and loved it; I was there for the whole day and my standard car stood up well.

Wish I had your budget! :-)

Thanks for the nice comments.

Hi Well after stonor park the first long drive after all the body work a problem arose on the way down to stonor a slight ticking from the nsf was there at 50mph and went at 80mph.

It got worse and would disappear for 10 miles then come back worse anyway the car did the 300 mile trip making some nasty noises i went back to work in holland for a week knowing that when i came back to the uk there would be a mad rush to get the car ready for snetterton.

Thinking one of the diff bolts has come loose i stripped the gearbox and the oil that came out the box didnt look great.

Turns out the gearbox was fine cleaned it up and put it back together.

Turns out it was the nsf inner cv joint it would lock up in certain positions so for good measure i replaced all of them.

Fitted a baffled sump aswell.

Here are a few picks from the day.
