Urgent: Removing roof rubbers

Having the corrado detailed today!

 

How do I remove the roof rubbers? Going buy new ones but not sure safest way of removing the ones that's currently on?

Best way is to heat them up with a hair dryer or something then just peel them off from the back of the car as they are fixed onto a little stud at the front.

Start from the back, remove the plastic cover trim (will be easier with the boot up) and then it should be obvious I think - just a bit of gentle levering working towards the front. Its a tight fit so although there was some sticky tape underneath it really does not need it.

Thanks guys. Was easier than thought... The sticky tape was non existent though :)

 

Next question... How do I get the VW badge off the back? :)

its just held in with two of those little blue attaching clips so just very gentle levering with something without damaging the paint is all you need.

Ahh cheers guys. Wasn't sure and didn't want to hurt it anymore lol.
