Corrado vr6 auto 50% throttle position on meas blocks (vag com)

HI ALL BACK AGAIN WITH AN UPDATE, IVE BEEN PULLING MY HAIR AND TEETH OUT TO TAKE MY MIND OFF ALL THE FAULTS I HAVE ON MY CORRADO! I CLEARED ALL THE FAULT CODES AND 11 CAME BACK! I HAVE

 

00258 - SOLENOID VALVE 1 (N88)

36-10 - OPEN CIRCUIT - INTERMITTENT

 

00260 - SOLENOID VALVE 2 (N89)

36-10 - OPEN CIRCUIT - INTERMITTENT

 

00262 - SOLENOID VALVE 3 (N91)

36-10 - OPEN CIRCUIT - INTERMITTENT

 

00264 - SOLENOID VALVE 4 (N92)

36-10 - OPEN CIRCUIT - INTERMITTENT

 

00266 SOLENOID VALVE 5 (N92)

And im getting a 50% throtle position reading, even if i unplug it?

1 - Change / re-seat the ECU relay and check the engine earths.

 

2 - Get it to VW

00518 & 00638 usually go together, you might need to get the ribbon wire from the valve body checked. If you can get an autobox workshop to have a look, they may be able to do something for you. It is pointing to a loom issue especailly with the solenoids ALL being faulty which is highly unlikely.

In fact, just check one thing - the loom to the auto ecu is under the drivers footrest (RHS). Just disconnect this, spray teh contacts and refit. Clear the codes and rescan. The auto ecu just piggybacks on the main ecu, so check your main loom connector is also properly seated and contacts clean.
