Water works(or doesn't)

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help please?

I,ve had a problem with the rear wash/wipe on my Corrado.

It started off as poor pressure on the spray, but on further investigation it turned out that the small pipe that went into the sprayer itself was being pushed back by the water pressure and when I went to push it in the damn thing snapped in two!

My local VW dealer couldn't find the part and reckoned it would cost about 5-7quid for a new one.For a small peice of 90deg plastic pipe!

Anybody got any ideas what I could replace this with?

Also get a strange rumbly knocking sound every now and then from the front somewhere,as if theres a driveshaft working loose but everything seems tight.Any ideas as to what this could be would be appreciated cos its got me stumped

If it's the one I'm thinking of (black 90deg plastic pipe about 3/16ths internal diameter) you can get them at most motor factors or even Halfords and it'll only cost you about .50p

Yeah, tried my local factors, but when it comes to anything other than your run-of-the-mill standard road box, they're pretty much useless. All they had were T-pieces,

and I don't have a Halfords near here.Really just wanted to know if this was a part that was peculiar to VW or if it was available from anywhere else. Thanks anyway.
