Stephen Grey 10 Posted March 11, 2011 Hi all, second day of owning my first corrado a 2.0 16v model, only real niggle now is my steering wheel isn't quite straight, i've had the tracking done and that was spot on but to drive straight the steering wheel is just slightly offset to the left, i had this issue with my old audi coupe and someone had put the steering wheel on wrong!!! is this the same problem or is there a corrado problem out there with wonky steering wheels??? Cheers everyone! :thumbleft:
gti gadge 0 Posted March 11, 2011 Guys who tracked it should centre the steering wheel when they do it. Go poke them on the nose! OR try moving it round one spline if your not the violent type
Critical_Mass 10 Posted March 11, 2011 X2 ^^^ But if you know the tracking and geometry is spot on. Then take the wheel off and put it back on straight, as long as the wheels are pointing straight on.
Stephen Grey 10 Posted March 11, 2011 Cheers will reset the wheel just wanted to rule out an underlying fault that may be known to all of you. Will let you know if this works.
fla 9 Posted March 11, 2011 Many Corrados, mine included, pull slightly to the left anyway. So it may just be because of the short wheelbase and the camber of the road.
