Seat height damper

One thing that bugs me is the 'ejector seat' operation of the height adjuster. Is there any way to fit a damper to the seat spring so that when someone pulls on it, thinking its the one to move the seat forward, it doesnt just try and blast its way off its fixings? tbh, i've pulled it accidentally myself, after driving the other cars for a while...
