When setting up the car particular attention must be paid to the brakes, which due to the increase diameter of the wheels don’t really work that well anymore. Also by theoretically putting your car on stilts, the suspension needs to be quite stiff to avoid excessive roll when cornering. But a overly stiff setup can cause the back end to get all loosey-goosey and step out around town. And American cars from that era are well known for their handling capabilities...
