Welsh g60

supercharging a 16v

why dont you just get a G60? or get a g60 and do a 16v conversion. Probably be easier that way!

either way it is a ton of work. bahn brenner makes a awesome kit for a 16v g60. little high on price, but they make quality parts, good customer support, knowledgable staff. here is the link for the kit:

they are based in auburn washington USA. this is probably what i am going to end up doing to my car someday...nothing like getting over 300BHP from a 4 cyl. =]

I think that vast expanse of ocean is a bit of a prohibiting factor for using Bahn Brenner for most of us in the UK, other than for mail order parts of course :)

alex..who have you used then?

and what did you do to make it G80? bigger port..but is it possible to get teh std G60 lader any bigger.

so many questions...i'll check it out at inters 8)

I did all the work myself which improud off

 

Also it wont be at inters sorry

 

As for the G80 side to it, its has a 3" inlet and fully ported to help it push the boost

Is it wise to supercharge a C VR6, I got another coming and would be very interested if the gains are in your face :?:

alex...what did you need then to do this all yourself? obviously head work to get 2ltr block to 2.1ltrs...but what else? a 50mm inlet manifold? which supercharger..

Sounds great, shame i won't get to say hello and thanks for me rear lights from ages ago.

the engine was built by a proffesional about 2 1/2 years ago for supercharging but as i havent had time to get round to it took a while but i did all the modifications to put a charger on the 16v engine.

 

The biggest prob is putting the alternator under the charger and getting the pulleys fitting perfect but ive done it :)

 

as for the engine to be 2.1 its done with bigger pistons the head has nothign to do with the cc of a engine

 

And yes im running a 50mm inlet and its a g60 superchager

 

I will be at inters as i have a stand there but the car wont be
