Harry_Boy 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Now got a Scooby WRX, but still miss my old VR6 Corrado from a few years back. Dark burgundy pearl effect VR6, with M1 VRG as the reg plate. Originally bought new by me from Smith Knight Fay in Stockport August 1994, sold to Wayside in MK after three glorious years. Do I regret selling her? You bet!! :( :( :( Anyone know of her whereabouts, for nostalgia's sake?? Cheers, Harry Boy (Scoobynet regular).
Linus Van Pelt 0 Posted February 27, 2004 I don't know about your motor mate, but whoever had it sold the number plate off it... Showing as on retention for this car dealer, a snip at £3K... (http://www.autopointsales.co.uk/used_cars.htm) It may be they bought the car and then sold it on taking the number plate off... is that picture the right one? One way to get cash in I suppose... Not much help, but you could always phone them to see if they have any more info... :?: Regards, DtM.
Harry_Boy 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Mmm.... Interesting - thanks Mate. Looks like my old VR6, but I can't be sure, as the image is just a thumbnail..... Thanks for the research! Cheers, HB.
Harry_Boy 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Repost, so I can get a thread notification.....
PhatVR6 0 Posted February 27, 2004 I bought an M plate dark burgundy pearl corrado off a fella who'd just bought a scooby, what a coincidence! mine's not a VR6 though...yet.
Harry_Boy 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Biuzzare Mate - but I've had another couple of less memorable cars in between. I'm SO tempted to have a go at a modded Corrado, just for the fun of it! About 250 bhp should do for the mo! :D
dubster82 0 Posted February 27, 2004 drop in a 20vT and you'll be laughing :D
Harry_Boy 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Yeah, but can't stop thinking about a Storm with a Schrick head....
dubster82 0 Posted February 27, 2004 schrick inlet manifold you mean with cams?
Harry_Boy 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Sorry - maybe my memory is playing tricks, but when I had my old VR6, I had a word with Brian Ricketts at BR Motorsport, and I'm sure that the variable inlet manifold he recommended was made by Schrick??? The VSR I think.
dubster82 0 Posted February 27, 2004 yeah.... exactly... inlet manifold... not head.....

BigTartanJudge 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Hmmmn, £1000 plus secondhand? Cheers BigEastsideVWG60
Jim 2 Posted February 27, 2004 Yeah they are very expensive for not a lot of power gains... quite a nice addition to the car though. Best bet is to bite the bullet and crack a supercharger on there - good for about 260BHP :) And stop being so pedantic Brian, sheesh ;) :D
