thermal 0 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) lots of people keep pming me about my car, so i'd better put a thread on here this is is when i bought it. pretty horrible looking if you ask me It already had had a respray and coilovers, but was sitting at a rude-boy spec ride height so i dropped it. new grill got rid of the discusting 17"s in favor of some ras a mate had then i robbed the wheels off my golf and stuck them on the rado fitted some old speakers for some reason i bought a stupidly small number plate then i broke down ;-( front engine mount was snapped so i bodged it 2 days later i broke down again in the middle of freaking nowhere added g60 brakes went to a bank swiss cheese new 'zaust got bored and wanted it lower coilovers were completely seized. i even had to drill the topmount nuts off to get them off got some new coilovers off a chap on here and properly dropped it Edited May 9, 2011 by thermal
thermal 0 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) managed 16 miles, then split the sump a new sump was promply fitted, but about a week later my oil buzzer went mental pulled the sump off to find this; the new sumps obviously taken a hit and the baffle has come loose and grinded against the crank, theres plastic shavings everywhere a random nice photo joey modded the lights before and after hockey puck front engine raise had to do a ****load of grinding for it all to clear. could do with a slim fan really, the stock one is sitting on the starter motor but now the bonnet doesnt close ;-( Edited May 9, 2011 by thermal
boost monkey 0 Posted May 9, 2011 i think you need a VR6 dry sump to get over all these clearance issues you're having... now, who was it that designed one of those recently...?
domwells27 0 Posted May 9, 2011 Maybe it's a sign your running too low  Looks nice otherwise. Any damage to the crank?

robrado974 1 Posted May 9, 2011 each to there own , people are always saying mine is to high. but why have something so low you cant drive it ?. one of me mates left my house and wacked the sump on a dip in the road . a nasty scrape but luckily no serious damage . Swompy 0 Posted May 9, 2011 Ya looks good low dont get me wrong, but you cant give it any beans as any slight bump in the road would destroy the sump and anything els that it hits at speed plus you would have to run the coilovers so stiff it would break your back. These cars are there to be driven not low and slow, thats what air cooled is for ;) But each to their own :afro:

KIPVW 0 Posted May 10, 2011 Why run it so low that you have to modify it to clear the road? just seems stupid to me mate but each to their own. :/ Dont mean to sound like an old fart but i am so i probably will lol!
