Play in front seats , picked up on MOT....

Recommended Posts

Hi guys just wondering if anyone else has noticed excessive side to side play in your front seats?

Im not sure if the seats are on nylon type rollers and they have disintegrated?

Any ideas guys?

they are straight forward to change.

just slide the seat out of the rail and swap them for the new ones.

not sure of part numbers but tps will know what you mean.

Part no's are 191881213 & 171881213B..

As above they're not rollers, really easy to change - remove the seat by undoing the nut & allen key bolt at the front, slide the seat out to the rear. Remove old runners, fit new ones, slide seat back in.

Its less than 5 minutes work per side once you know what you're doing!

Look here for part no's and diagram..

my golf seat won't lock in properly when I slide it fully back (after the missus has been driving!) so i'm thinking about maybe doing this and definitely greasing the rails and cleaning them up.
