hawwy 10 Posted May 28, 2011 (edited) hi my corrado vr6 had starting issue this morning, when i start it it just went to idle and went straight off? i tried it few times and it just cut off as soon as it started? what could be the problem, but as soon as i revved the car then it stayed on after that. also after that i went for a drive and 20min later the car cut out on me. one more thing i forgot to mention , twice now this has happened when i turn the car off and take the key out the car doesnt turn off and still stays on until i stall it help please any help would be appreciated thank you Edited May 28, 2011 by hawwy Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dan_Storm 0 Posted May 28, 2011 I'd guess at either the immobiliser (if you have a late VR) or idle stabilisation valve. Try giving the connector to the immobiliser a squirt of WD40. Its a small black box under the dash near the fuse box. If you do a search on here I'm sure you'll find pics or a better description. If it's the ISV you can try giving it a clean with carb cleaner, again there are loads of threads on here with pics of where to find the ISV as it is a pretty common problem.
