Is there a technique to put the fuse cover lid back in place

Sounds silly...Does anyone else have problems putting the fuse cover back in place or is it just me. Just wondered is there a technique to doing it. I feel like I am placing too much force at time just to get the dam thing line up and feel a fuse or a relay is going to break in the process. I have just given up at the moment :)

Make sure the back of the cover is lined up with corner bracket, you can see it in the pic, then it just pushes in ! I don't even bother with the fuse cover clips.

There's two long tabs at the rear of the tray so you have to make sure they are lined up and then push it in flat. It could be your fusebox has come loose from the holder, have a look to see if it is resting in a notch on either side.

hmm i always wondered where that part when. Do you have any better pictures to figure it out better?

One of mine was a bu&&er to put back as basically it had been stuffed in previously and the arm on the right was bent in as it hadn't been seated properly.

Getting it to go where it should when the bend had 'permanently' set in was fun and involved some long thin stiff tools to persuade it to go where it should.

 

I'm sure you would notice if you have a bend where your shouldn't but I thought I would mention my experiance just in case.

Got there in the end...Managed to do it in better lighting and I can see exactly where things needed to go. Earlier attempts in the shade resulted in a snapped 10 amp fuse now replaced. Just be gentle !

I must say I struggle with mine, and had assumed that this was "just one of those things".

 

But now I'll have a look and see if a bit of judicious relignment will make it easier.
