Sir Nicholas Wimplebottom 0 Posted June 20, 2011 After many many years, I have succumbed to nostalgia and purchased another Corrado! I shall no doubt be spending some time here, asking inane questions as a result. Tristan
James. 9 Posted June 20, 2011 Ahhh nostalgia. The surest way to empty ones wallet. As Richard Madeley used to say "Welcome back".

Sir Nicholas Wimplebottom 0 Posted June 22, 2011 Getting there! Still using the search bit at the moment and fixing gremlins.......
Sir Nicholas Wimplebottom 0 Posted June 23, 2011 Right then. Last weekend I purchased a black 1.8 16v on an H plate. All original bar some 16" BBS alloys (unsure which ones, but they look like LM's?) and a rather harsh lowering kit. 127k miles and runs well. Needs a few bits doing like new temp sensor and the fuel gauge isn't working at the minute. I've the clocks apart and they're fine but no current is being delivered to the gauge, so must be the sender. Is this easy to replace? I'm very handy with the spanners and hammers. Amazingly the interior is in very good order, with no rips tears or discernible wear, just a bit grubby. I plan to replace the springs for standard ones in the near future and clean the bejesus out of it. And then drive it and enjoy it.
t700bes 1 Posted June 23, 2011 I don't think the sender is TOO hard, From what I've read (not done it myself) its ontop of the fuel tank (which is under the lining in the boot). I'm sure someone with more knowlegde will be along to help you further. I recently got my raddo back on the road after the bottom end went after it lost all its oil.... It now has 2.0 16v ABF engine, and I love every minute of it!! :)
Sir Nicholas Wimplebottom 0 Posted June 26, 2011 right then, I've been under the carpet in the boot. Removed the inspection panel and been presented with a fuel out and return hose, an electrical connection and a big plastic nut that wont budge despite using a very LARGE persuader!! ANy hints on how to undo this?
floppyman 0 Posted June 26, 2011 Usually they come out with a hammer and a screw driver... Im pretty shure it will come out like that

Sir Nicholas Wimplebottom 0 Posted June 29, 2011 Ahh, I'm in Cardiff now, but still visit Berkshire on a regular basis. I shall try a bigger hammer on the plastic nut thing then! Are you Berks yourself mjcp?
Sir Nicholas Wimplebottom 0 Posted July 20, 2011 Right then, small update. Fuel sender now removed, stripped and cleaned. Gauge sort of works now, but have ordered new lift pump and sender anyway. I then washed and waxed her. She now looks like this
