Alex_G60_Fanatic 0 Posted August 5, 2011 Tried turning my radio on the other day in the rado and there is no power getting to the head unit. I looked at the fuse box and that all looks fine. The only thing that I've done to the electrics since I last used the radio is fit an external up-rated headlight loom and change the battery. I had the head unit out to check the back of it and I did find a loose wire... hombre_paulo 0 Posted August 5, 2011 The only power carrying cables are: Red - permanent live yellow - ignition live black - earth have you checked the fuse on the back of the head unit (silly question i know). the two in you photos look like outputs for something maybe sub/electric aerial
Alex_G60_Fanatic 0 Posted August 5, 2011 yeah, all fuses checked. I would pop a multi meter on the red/yellow wires to check i was getting juice but the car is at the garage just now...
t700bes 1 Posted August 5, 2011 Hey Alex, As above you only need 3 wires (2 really but one is ignition) All the others are extra... Multimeter is gonna be the only way... Brown / Black earth Red is ignition and yellow is permament live. So yellow only goes live when the ignition is on.. Sorry If you know all this already :)
