carter711 0 Posted September 5, 2011 This may sound like a silly question but I am in the middle of upgrading my car stereo (I won't bore you with the specifics!) and have a question. I'm going to be running two amps from my Alpine head unit, one for the sub in the boot and one for the components in the doors (no other speakers) These amps are obviously going to be receiving signal via phono leads. So... Will I still be able to fade the sound from left to right? How will the head unit know what's going on? I haven't run components from an amp before so this is all new to me! robo22sri 10 Posted September 5, 2011 It will be fine, your stereo RCA are split into 3 front, rear and sub So you can still fade L an R and F and R ;)
andycowuk 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Some heads only have one or two pairs of RCAs which means you still get left/right balance but you can loose F/R fader (depending how its wired) Having said that, I'd imagine your Alpine one will have three pairs of RCAs....
