Fair enough, the Tesa tape I bought I wouldn't use in my engine bay, it's like a soft fabric and not particularly sticky

I know what you mean mate, there are two variations of this tape, Fleece and cloth, its the cloth one like in the ebay link that's needed for engine bay looms, I use it for any interior wiring too.

I hate the fabric stuff in an engine bay, for me i use the fabric for interior wiring.

 

I used a non-sticky stuff in the engine bay, you just tape the end. Then i put what i could inside some of that black ducting you get on modern cars.
