P3rks 11 Posted October 21, 2011 I have a freshly polybushed subframe/wishbones which came with my car when I bought it. I've stripped it down to powdercoat the subframe/wishbones before I fit it to the car. But i can't remove these from the wishbone (Top of the photo): Are these polybushes one piece? Does anyone know what they look like before fitting so i have a further understanding of how to remove them? Or do you think once they are in, I'm not getting them out without damaging them? Help please as I plan on taking these to the coaters on Monday.
24V Renshaw 0 Posted October 21, 2011 Press out the centre metal sleeve first, should come out quite easily. Then you should be able to easily press out the polyeurthane part of the bush a lot easier. They are "slippery" things, which is why they are not actually ideal for that position on the wishbone and if I were you I would be fitting R32 OEM ones instead as the poly ones tend to dislocate from the wishbone. stevef182 0 Posted October 21, 2011 Jay, are R32 bushes a direct replacement/fit for front and rear wishbones? And what year R32? Thanks.
