Abdul 0 Posted March 12, 2012 Lol yeah true but with he corrado being a bit old and rattly now I find the ride varies big time from what people claim to have experienced in mk2's etc. Thanks for that though. I'd never buy a set new lol. I'll wait till a second set comes along haha! What's next for yours then?
EJ Taylor 22 Posted May 16, 2012 Few updates, and pictures, the JL system, soon to upgrade and amp my interior speakers as well, now have a part time job at Oxfords leading Car Audio specialist, so if anyone wants prices on anything... or just has a question they would like me to put forward to our specialists then please feel free, we specialise in absolutely anything electric, alarms, hands free kits, audio (obv), etc........... also i spoke a while back about having a badged front grill, after much thought i had the idea, to instead of buying a badged grill, use the one i have to make a custom one-off badged grill, using the 2012 VW T5 Sport badge, i wanted to do something different and the things massive as you can see, im excited to see the end result, of course im not attempting this myself, one of my new found friends at Oxford car audio is an awesome boot build and custom install specialist, single handedly doing all of alpines demo cars, so we had a chat and when we have a spare moment at work in the next week or so we are making it happen :) Also i finally thought time to put a new radiator in, is was leaking only a little hear and there, but "rad weld" isnt really my thing, and to all you out there who have replaced a radiator yourself (IN A VR6).... i respect you with great honour!, as that was one son of a b*tch to do! and i gave her a little clean over the weekend, so snapped a few shots, only taken on a ****ty black berry but she still sits pretty! hope i made a good read for a couple of mins..... NEXT up is the full front end re-spray (17 years of stone chips!)... ill keep y'all updated on the grill too! will be interesting yo see the end result as i have never seen a Corrado with a custom T5 badged grill before. PEACE OUT!

KADVR6 0 Posted July 8, 2012 if you think a radiator is hard to do, just wait till your heater matrix needs replacing!!!
EJ Taylor 22 Posted July 9, 2012 (edited) if you think a radiator is hard to do, just wait till your heater matrix needs replacing!!! GOD! please dont.... dare to even think about it! haha..... that radiator really did bring the worst outa me ha. Little "Build" Update as well, when driving in the local area, i came across a speed hump, one some may call ambitious, (the kind with like its own kerb edging) any way, long story short it left me with cracked welds on the cat and mid box. So i took her home, rang up a mate with a welder, a few hours and several cups of tea later, we ended up with a straight through 3inch stainless pipe running from the SS 6 branch manifold to the back box (already Longlife), my theory being if I remove the cat and mid box, then surly this problem can never happen again :D haha! well that and the awesome noise it now creates. NOTE: To all others thinking about a de-cat and/or removal of centre box, its nowhere near what I thought! i was thinking it would be a bit harsh, loud, hard to live with, buts its not... it really nice, a lovely subtle burble on tick over, with a lovely smooth low down growl through al the gears (OK so the cams and the chip may help this) but generally not as harsh as i thought, dont get me wrong at full chat it ROARS, but just general cruising about its lovely! highly recommended! (if you have a mate who does dodgy mot's of coarse!) also the power gains were instantly noticeable, with what seems to be alot more high and low end talk. thats all for now, new grill this week, and she booked into the body shop next month, smoothing the plate recess, and getting every light replaced with brand new ones. hope i made an ok bit of reading. Peace out :) Edited July 9, 2012 by EJ Taylor

EJ Taylor 22 Posted August 8, 2012 hahah no, i tried and after about 2 hours i gave up on gettin the front end of and just did it with it on, i got it from a company called Advanced Radiators (http://www.adrad.co.uk/) rang them up really great customer service and the best prices around, they get them direct from the manufacturer so save alot on over heads, all Hella and VAG approved great quality, and at £95 + vat cant beat it, really happy with it. good luck with the fitment haha, and yes i have heard the job is made about 20x easier by taking the front end of haha. EJ Taylor 22 Posted August 9, 2012 not sure mate, i bought it of a chap in Clevedon, just past Bristol, it had a corrado forum.net sticker in the window already.... not sure of the cars history but as i imagine with most corrado owners i would love to find out more about its past! also love to find out at what stage in its life it got into the hands of a retarded ape as some of the "mods"/"repairs" i have had to fix/replace is shameful! pretty sure she is the best she ever has been now! and has finally settled into safe hands :D what make you say that? do u recognise it? EJ Taylor 22 Posted August 9, 2012 maybe it started in Aberdeenshire, i think it had like 7 owners before me, so she was a bit of a get around! might have just slowly worked its way down the country, with this in mind ill make sure i sell it in the Southampton area to keep her going south! robo22sri 10 Posted September 19, 2012 Nice satin finish :) What paint did you use bud?
EJ Taylor 22 Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) yer man, quite difficult to get a DECENT satin/matt finish without it looking tacky, i looked into it and as far as matt black paint goes its all the same. I used U-POL ACID#8 Etch Primer and then halfords Grey Primer and matte black paint, all Aerosol, easy to get a good finish as long as you take you time and bake on each coat (i used a patio heater) AND BTW! thats the ONLY thing i have brought from halfords! haha Edited September 19, 2012 by EJ Taylor
robo22sri 10 Posted September 19, 2012 Halfords sell good paint in a rattle can! I am going to do my Schmidt ml's Audi dolphin grey at the weekend if all goes to plan :) Well my brother is lol
