jonny V-DUB 0 Posted December 9, 2011 Hi guys need some help iv got mk3 golf 2.0L 8V AGG engine iv put in to a mk2 jetta iv got it to run but it idle rely lumpy and won't rev up with out feathering the throttle it just dies when i try to open it full when i unplug the AFM it idle fine but still won't rev up iv changed the AFM and still no change can any one HELP me please Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
seanl82 23 Posted December 10, 2011 Give the throttle body a good clean out, and check your breather hoses. (Top of rocker cover down to bottom of the block). They get gunked up, and become brittle and crack. Top breather should be stiff (ish). If it feels spongy, replace it anyway as when you let off the throttle it collapses and starves the engine, and that causes cutting out issues. Also check vac lines for leaks.
